The advantages of motor-drums:
- The motor drum takes up much less space and provides a higher density and a lot of applications.
- Improves operator safety
- The motor drum is much faster and easier to install than conventional drive systems.
- The motor drum has no external moving components, increases the service life
Humming motor-drums (putting rubber coating on motor-drums) makes it possible:
- increase the coefficient of adhesion between the tape and the drum;
- Reduce belt tension and wear;
- minimize the slippage of the motor drum and burns the tape directly related to it;
- reduce noise during the operation of the conveyor;
- make it easier to adjust the straight-line ribbon stroke.
